Welcome to our website. You can find us in the heart of Dacre Hill, Rock Ferry where we’ve been trading in DIY & Hardware for 30 years. As well as being a traditional hardware store, and member of the Mica group of independent retailers we’re also proud of our local reputation for having just the product you were looking for at the right price.
History
Initially trading as Rock Ferry Hardware, we moved to our current premises in Dacre Hill 1996 where we became Bolts Hardware. Our new store allowed us to expand our product range and sell a broader mix of Hardware & DIY products. With long experience in the trade, we have the knowledge to help you with your DIY problem! We’re now well known in our local area as the hardware store of choice for both quality product and value for money.
Mica
We joined the Independent retailer group MICA in 2003 to allow us to buy at national group prices to bring you better value for money, and also market ourselves to a high professional standard. In 2018 owners Jim & Jane wanted to retired, and rather than close the business the Mica group stepped in and the store is now owned as a cooperative business by Mica under the continued management of Donna who has been with the business five years.
Johnstones
We’re a local specialist in our preferred paint Johnstones DIY, which we believe offers you the best quality as well as value for money. We stock a full range of colours in addition to the whites, glosses undercoats etc.
Customer Service
When stepping across the threshold into our store you can expect the personal touch combined with excellent experience in our field that only a family business can bring.
Our store is on Bebington road, next door to the Tesco Metro car park in Dacre Hill. There is also street parking close to the door. We’re on the 38 bus route into Birkenhead and a 10 minute walk from the Mersey Rail Wirral Line stations (Rock Ferry or Bebington).
